Lace didn't go so well yesterday. Haven't lost faith, but REALLY not pleased. Will keep as learning tool, and I really need to remember with bobin lace that directions are not a suggestion but pretty much do it this way or it will look like crap. Plodding along. The problem now that I'm finding is there is not enough time to do all the things I want to do. I think I'll pick a day for spinning, a day for lace making and a day for working on my sweater. Then the other days I can do what I want which will probably finish sweaters before it gets cold and not feel like nothing is getting done. Of course, I still have to find time to clean and do laundry. Working on that separately.
Yesterday I went to a friend's farm to buy yarn for my swap partner. Got some great stuff I think she'll like and today will get that box ready to do since it was probably due out in the mail last week. I know the partner sending to me is in singapore for the rest of the month and I told her I'd be glad to wait until her return - thinking how cool would stuff from there be? They yesterday when I got home I got another swap assignment. this was after I promised myself I wouldn't join any more swaps until September. But this one is a simple one, 1 yarn and 1 tea. No extras. Wonder how many people will follow that rule? So, get my box put together, go to the tea shop and I'm set :) No package to army son this week since he moved and hasn't gotten a new address yet, but two packages to swap. It is looking good.
