Ten on Tuesday

Well, I can accept Carole's challenge for Ten Things You Do Everyday.

1. Get up, start the coffee and feed the cats.
2. Shower and get dressed make-up to shoes.
3. Start a load of laundry
4. Check email and ravelry.
5. Let the cats out and clean the litter box.
6. Let the cats inside and leave for work.
7. Work, oh so fun stuff trying to be diplomatic all day really stresses Tinkerpro.
8. Come home for lunch. Let the cats out, start something for dinner.
9. End of the day come home, laundry, fix dinner, feed the cats and let them out.
10. Nights are spent either doing homework or going to class. And letting the cats in at dark.

Hmmm, I see a pattern here. It would appear that I am a slave to my cats.

Miami Shawl

I don't normally make or wear shawls because they get caught on everything I walk by. But I was at a tea last month and someone had made the miami shawl and I really liked it. Of course I used my own method of knitting, i.e. patterns can be merely a suggestion, and why would I buy a specific yarn when I have so much in my stash.

I used the brooks farm Yarn I bought at MDSW two years ago for a sweater. Every stinkin time I cast on for a sweater, I didn't like the way the yarn was pooling. It worked just perfect for the shawl though, and I've got enough left I'm thinking hat, mittens and maybe a scarf . . . the possibilities are limitless. I used one skein and about an eighth of another so there's tons left.
